Self-care is meant to reinvigorate your energy and help you recover from the stressors in your daily life. It's also meant to keep your mind, body, and spirit strong.

It's important to understand where you draw your energy from in order to create a self-care routine that truly benefits you. And looking to your star chart can be a great place to start. So let's explore the self-care habits that will best support you, based on your sun sign!

Aries: 21 March to 19 April

Aries, you are driven and passionate. One way to nourish your soul is to devote some time to a skill or interest that you're passionate about. You should also do something that gets your heart rate up. Sometimes getting some exercise or just sitting out in the sun will recharge you.

To create a revitalizing atmosphere in your home, get the fire started. Light up your favorite incense sticks or renew the energy in your home with sage or palo santo.

Taurus: 20 April to 20 May

Taurus, you are grounded and sensual. You always take care of those around you, so make sure to take some time to indulge in yourself too! Replenish by enjoying your favorite meal, relaxing in front of a movie or show, getting a massage, or taking a long aromatherapeutic bath.

Earthy Taurus, you will also do well in your element. Get outside and take a walk in a forest or in a garden. Planting your feet on solid ground will help you feel stable again.

Gemini: 20 May to 20 June

Geminis are social and versatile. You can sustain yourself by feeding your mind. Choose an area you're fascinated by and learn more about it. You will also feel revived if you go out on the town or hang out with like-minded friends.

If you want to get your blood flowing, a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class is perfect for you.

Cancer: 21 June to 22 July

Cancer you are sentimental and intuitive. Being around those you care about will help you recover. It doesn't matter if it's your sister, your mom, your girlfriend/boyfriend, or your best friend, you need to feel a level of comfort.

If you're on your own, break out the blankets and candles and create a calming atmosphere at home. A cool shower can also be a great way to cleanse your mind.

Leo: 23 July to 22 August

Leo, you are fierce and determined. Taking care of your mane is one way to reinstate your feeling of pride. Go to the salon or DIY at home. A fresh new style, color, or even just a deep treatment will leave you feeling feisty. Refresh your closet by donating to charity or taking your old clothes to a consignment store.

Dancing, either at home or out with your friends, is another great way to keep your body and mind strong.

Virgo: 23 August to 22 September

Virgos are incredibly organized, but sometimes you can be too self-critical. Being surrounded by clutter can be overwhelming for your mind. You will especially thrive in a neat and clean environment, so your self-care routine may involve quite a bit of tidying up or organizing. Meal-prepping for the week ahead can also help you avoid some future stress.

If you need to get out of the house, a walk outdoors somewhere calming and uncrowded, especially among the trees, can help you feel refreshed.

Libra: 23 September to 22 October

Libra, your kind soul seeks balance and peace. The chaos of the day-to-day can be draining. Try yoga or pilates to allow your body to find the equilibrium it needs. Try meditation or some breathing exercises.

You can also try getting your thoughts out by writing with a pen and paper (as opposed to the blue glow of a laptop or phone screen). Reading is also a great way to unwind.

Scorpio: 23 October to 21 November

Scorpio, you are a resourceful person, but sometimes you hold too much within yourself, leading to an explosion of emotion. Your self-care should focus on connecting with yourself and your emotions. Talking it out with someone you trust can help alleviate some of the burdens.

Making a fire playlist to listen to while you doodle or work on a project you've been putting off will also help recenter you.

Sagittarius: 22 November to 21 December

Sagittariuses are pretty much the definition of "follow your arrow." Get out and play your favorite sport or reread your favorite novel. Create a vision board or journal about your dreams for the future.

If you're really itching to break out of your comfort zones, take a day trip somewhere you haven't been before or try out a new dish.

Capricorn: 22 December to 19 January

Capricorn, you are incredibly ambitious and practical. But you also have a propensity for sadness and need to remind yourself that not everything is terrible. Catch some sun, buy some fresh flowers, or paint your nails a color that makes you happy.

If you're able, take some much needed "me time" by going for a hike. It will give you both the break you need and the sense of accomplishment you crave.

Aquarius: 20 January to 18 February

Aquarius, you are original and temperamental. Take some time to learn something new or devote some time to your hobbies. Hatha yoga can also bring a release of any pent up emotions that you have been ignoring.

Go for a long walk or a long drive with the windows down. Find a way to let your hair down and let your quiet time flow.

Pisces: 19 February to 20 March

Pisces you are introspective and deeply caring. Emotions can feel heavy so don't forget to let them flow. Work through your problems and thoughts in a journal. This will give you new insights into situations and stress by helping you see the bigger picture.

Aromatherapy can also help you unwind. Getting a pedicure can also help you feel more grounded.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
