We have no time to do anything besides school, but you NEED to take care of yourself. If you neglect your self help you will go crazy or get sick, and neither is good! Here are a few things I have found that could help save you during the end of the semester.
1) Treat yourself
Grab that cookie that looks really good... you deserve it! If your bank account can handle it, Lush is always a fun place to blow your entire pay check... and hey- at least you smell really good!
2) Take a bath or long hot shower.
You will not even realize how tense you are until you are standing under that wonderful hot stream of water! This is a simple and relaxing way to get in self care as well as something you should probably be doing anyway. The only time that flies and dust coming off of a person is slightly endearing in the peanuts.
3) Watch a show on Netflix
BEWARE this can become a night long process of binge watching the new season of New Girl if you aren't careful. Limiting this to one or two episode on the other hand is really helpful to take your mind off of life for a half hour to an hour
4) 5 minute Yoga videos on youtube
This is one of my personal favorite, though I admittedly do not do this as much as I should. This can be energizing or help you get a better night's sleep. Whatever you need they probably have it- just add it to the search! Here's one I enjoy:
5) Watch cat videos (or whatever makes you laugh) on you tube
Laugh therapy is a real thing (this is on youtube). When you are stressed and you feel like you want to cry, laugh instead! Laughter is not only more appropriate in public than crying, but it also makes you feel better. They are also short, so you don't have to freak out about wasting time.
6) Read a book
Reading get's your brain working without it being about that crazy math formula you can never remember, to get over writers block, or just give your brain an enjoyable boost it needs to get through the end of the semester grind.
7) Find a Friend and get Coffee
Get out from under that mountain of homework, call that friend you haven't had time for and grab some coffee and catch up.
8) Clean
The probably sounds really dumb, but cleaning up your physical space will make you feel less stressed. Having a clean home/space also help to have better quality sleep.
