8 "Scandal" Quotes To Live By

Although "Scandal's" plot line is not necessarily relatable to 99 percent of the country's population, it's a fantastic show that caught attention. Olivia Pope's courageous and unique personality has become the goal of every woman, and when people talk about the 2016 presidential elections, we all immediately think of President Grant and the drama of the White House. So, even though we can't all relate to the crazy D.C. drama, we can relate to many things that happen on the show. Here are eight quotes from "Scandal" to live by.

1. "Mediocrity is not an option for me. I don't want that and neither should you." - Olivia Pope

Don't let something be just OK. Put everything you have into all you do to make it great.

2. "You better think and you better ask yourself, is this really who I want to be?" - Olivia Pope

Constantly look yourself in the mirror and make sure you're the person you said you would be, that you're the person you want to be.

3. "If you want me, earn me!" - Olivia Pope

People who want you in their lives will do something about it. Don't give your time, your love and yourself to just anyone. If they want you that badly, they'll work for it.

4. "You do not ask questions that you cannot handle the answer to. You do not make judgments about things you cannot imagine." - Rowan Pope

Enough said.

5."You want to lead? Be the leader. Everyone else will automatically become the follower." - Cyrus Beene

If you can stand up and do what needs to be done as a leader, you will become the leader. Don't wait for someone to appoint you as a leader, just act as one.

6. "It's OK to be afraid. Sometimes fear keeps us safe. Sometimes it holds us back." - Olivia Pope

It's OK to be afraid sometimes, but don't let it stop you from doing the things you love. Don't let fear hold you back.

7. "I am dancing. Now, you can dance with me, or you can get off my dance floor. I am fine dancing alone." - Olivia Pope

Learn to be OK with yourself. Allow people in your life, but don't rely on others to have a good time. Be OK with yourself.

8. "It's handled." - Olivia Pope

Olivia Pope's go-to quote. People have a problem? She handles it. Something comes up? Handle it. Olivia Pope does, and look at her, she's fabulous.

Even though Olivia Pope has a slight different life than many of us do, she says a lot of things that can relate to anyone's life. Remember, don't let mediocrity be an option, make people earn you, be the leader, don't let fear stop you, be OK being alone and handle it. When life is hard and you don't know what to do, just think to yourself: What would Olivia Pope do?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time.
