"I am with you," that is what my preacher at my church in Knoxville, Tennessee told our congregation after each service. Those few words mean the absolute most to me. There have been so many moments in life that I was so afraid and confused but knowing that God is with me where ever I go, protecting me and guiding me, pushes me on.
Our journey began when you found me when my life was a chaotic mess. I needed someone to tell me it was all going to be OK and to think bigger and look at the brighter future. I started to fall but I did not fall on the ground. I fell into your arms and you let me walk upon the waters and my faith became stronger. Through the presence of my savior I turned into the person I wanted to be. Free and Alive. My soul rests in your embrace.
The chaotic mess in my life was a few years back when I thought all else was going to fail. There were times I was so unhappy with my life. I thought why on earth are all these horrible things happening to me. There were other instances where I was unhappy with myself, my family, and some of the people I called my friends. I was tired of imbecile people telling me how to live my life when at the time I did not know how I wanted to live it on my own. One day the savior of the world lifted me up and told me life is beautiful and all those struggles were just temporary.
For those struggling with faith or life, I honestly believe you can break free from those hardships. It may take some time, like it did for me, but I promise this world is so worth living in. There are so many opportunities waiting for you and if I could give you that push I would. My eyes were opened to so many possibilities and the place I am in right now, I would not change for the world. Reach out to the heavenly father, he is your constant companion in your life that wants to be your first priority. The Bible says, "Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you.” Best of all, God forgives you. We have all had that moment when our heads hang low but we were born to follow the light that never fails. Lift me higher than I have ever been. You taught me to say Amen. Let your kingdom come.
I pray every night and day for those who do not believe in you. I hope that one day you will touch their hearts and impact their lives in a big way like you did for me. As the popular song "10,000 Reasons" by Matt Redman says, "Bless the Lord oh my soul Oh my soul Worship His Holy name Sing like never before Oh my soul I'll worship Your Holy name."
