You may remember the comedy film, Borat, that was released in 2006. This movie reached a large number of viewers, and has stayed somewhat relevant as the years went on. This only increased the anticipation for the second Borat movie, which was released October 23, 2020, only two and a half weeks before the 2020 Presidential Election. In both Borat films, Sacha Baron Cohen plays the character Borat who comes to the United States as a foreigner. In the films, Cohen is acting but gets random people from the area involved in the film. The people he interacts with during the film are unaware he is playing a character in a movie, they think he is just another random person. Cohen had a well thought out plan well in advance of the film's release.

You may have recalled headlines in late February of 2020 of a Trump impersonator crashing Pence's speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference. This was Sacha Baron Cohen as his character Borat, acting as Trump. Cohen's plan for the second Borat movie was to highlight Donald Trump in a negative way, and in my opinion, he succeeded.

The second Borat movie had tens of millions of viewers, just on its release date. The film succeeded in reaching a wide audience. Whether or not the movie heavily influenced votes in the Presidential is one thing, but the light shed on Trump's racism was prevalent, which was shown to millions of people. Cohen's character Borat is a Trump supporter in the movie, although in a way that would be questionable amongst any normal citizen. As Borat, Cohen sarcastically has his character support Trump because his character supports his racism, and degrading of women.

Within all of the sarcastic support, Cohen ends up tricking Rudy Giuliani into an interview with the actress that is playing Borat's daughter. This interview takes places in a hotel room, and has hidden cameras in the room. After the interview concludes Giuliani leads Borat's daughter into the bedroom, lays down on the bed and puts his hands down his pants. Borat quickly comes in to interrupt before anything else progresses. Giuliani was appalled at the situation to find out he was being set up.

Cohen is doing more work than most in these investigations, but aside from that Cohen produced an expose that pissed off a lot of people. While there are no statistics on his movie and the voter turnout of the same demographic, but Cohen strategically produced and released this film in a crucial time.

You can go check out the surprising but equally hysterical movie on Amazon Prime.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
