Tough, rigid, and always lookin' for the nearest diner, Ron Swanson has a distinct character throughout the show. As he openly disregards the government, Swanson still manages to be the head honcho of the Parks & Rec Department. In his time here, it has become very evident to everyone everywhere that Swanson has an obsession with food. Well, some would call it an obsession, while to others this is just the daily routine.

Whether he is taking advantage of a free breakfast buffet or boycotting the latest organic, healthy food, Ron Swanson just gives me more reason to want to applaud. I have a serious food addiction. Legitimately. My bank account shows that's where that majority of my money goes. I would drop any amount of money on food without thinking twice; but if it were clothes, I would be asking, "Is this really worth the money?" With food, the answer is always yes.

On so many occasions, I can completely relate to Ron Swanson, especially with food. Typical thoughts that go through my head when I run into food never seem to contradict Swanson.

These are all the times Ron Swanson accurately depicted my feelings (more like love) toward food:

1. C'mon darlin', let me buy you some grub!

2. You're super sore after your workout, but you earned that cheeseburger.

3. Why is it your friends always suggest Panera as the go-to eatery?

4. Uh-oh, it is Taco Tuesday . . . Godspeed!

5. Wait, what is that food truck serving? I'm in.

6. Summer time doesn't seem to end in AZ.

7. Raiding IHOP in the middle of the night is always a good idea.

8. Finally, you see the waitress across the restaurant coming with your food.

9. Wait, did you say free?

10. Investing in a delicious snack draw for work is key.

11. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner every day baby

12. This health kick is gonna work this time. It's fine, I'm fine . . . I SAID I'M FINE!

13. When you see a sample booth down the Costco aisle . . .

14. Excuse me friend, where's mine? -- "At the store"

15. Sweet and simple . . . and let's not forget cheap!

16. Did you just try to touch my food?

17. Ugh, what would the cows think? Such a disappointment.

18. If it's not wrapped in bacon, I'm not eatin' it!

19. I will now unbutton the top button of my pants.

20. And at the end of the day, you realize all of your money went toward food.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
