It's that time of year again when no one really wants to go outside because it's too cold. As someone who hates any temperature below 70, nothing sounds better to me than sitting on my couch, drinking hot chocolate, and watching movies that make me wish I had a boyfriend. Here's a list of the top rom-coms, romantic dramas, and overall lovey-dovey (my favorite!) movies to watch when you're stuck inside.
1. Titanic (1997)
Let's be real-- we all knew this movie would be on this list. It is a timeless classic. It is guaranteed to make you feel every emotion, and scream "I'll never let go" along with Rose. (Also, real talk-- there was definitely enough room on that floating board for the both of them.)
2. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
Where do I even begin with this movie? Kat and Patrick make such a beautiful, weird couple. Staring at Heath Ledger for an hour and a half isn't too bad either.
3. A Walk To Remember (2002)
For this movie, you'll definitely need a box of tissues next to you. Before The Fault In Our Stars, there was A Walk To Remember. As one of the saddest romance movies, it falls in line with one of the greats.
4. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (2003)
Honestly, I didn't watch this movie until it became available on Netflix. BIG MISTAKE. This is by far one of the best rom-coms I have ever seen. If you don't know the whole complicated history between Andie Anderson and Benjamin Berry, then I suggest you watch this movie immediately. (And hello, Matthew McConaughey!)
5. 13 Going On 30 (2004)
I'm not ashamed to say that I realized what I wanted to do for the rest of my life because of this movie. Jenna's job when she's 30? Her love life? I want them both! This movie is another one of my all-time favorites that I could literally never get sick of.
6. The Notebook (2004)
The Notebook is another movie that is considered a classic. I think that almost everyone in the world wants a love like Allie and Noah's iconic love. I know I do!
7. Dear John (2010)
Nicholas Sparks again makes a dream love story come to life in a movie starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. It is another one that is sure to leave you in tears.
8. The Vow (2012)
This movie is one that is unexplainably amazing. You follow the love story of a man who tries to win his wife's love back every day after a life-changing accident, and it inspires you to want to find someone who loves you that much. We all deserve a Leo in our lives.
9. The Great Gatsby (2013)
Although this movie is a remake of the original movie and of a classic book, I think that the love that Jay Gatsby has for Daisy is incredible. This movie, I believe, is very underrated, being that it is a remake, and it not only has a great love story but amazing visuals as well. And, it's Leonardo DiCaprio, if that doesn't sway you enough.
10. The Fault In Our Stars (2014)
This is the movie you watch for when you want to cry your eyes out. It is a great story and tells of a love you wish you had for someone and vice versa. It's especially great to watch cuddled up in blankets and a pillow to squeeze on to.
11. The Age of Adaline (2015)
This movie is extremely underrated. For this, definitely grab some ice cream, a box of tissues, and pillows to cry into. In my opinion, it should become a classic.
