Rodeo season is my favorite season for sure! The Houston Rodeo is something I look forward to all year long because there are tons of fun things to do. I truly love the country culture and appreciate country music, so the season is even more fun for me because I go to tons of concerts. The tickets aren't crazy expensive unless there's a huge star coming like Luke Bryan or The Chainsmokers (both are performing this year!). I compiled a list of what I love about the rodeo and why...

1. The Food

I love the food at the rodeo even though it's all super fattening. First off, the fried oreos are to die for!! They're super heavy but I promise they're worth it. The fried pickles are amazing with ranch. I also love the elote (corn) because they have a variety of different sauces and flavored toppings to add on! Of course, funnel cakes too because who doesn't love funnel cakes right?

2. The Fashion

There's the Texan flare that comes in to play when rodeo season comes around. The cowboy boots, the fringe, the plaid shirts and denim jackets are all you can see at the rode and I love that! There is lots of shopping available at the Houston Rodeo some of the things include cowboy boots and hats.

3. The Carnival

There are tons of rides and games to play before and/or after the rodeo. A lot of people don't even go inside to the rodeo itself, instead, they just eat and enjoy the carnival!

4. The Music

I personally love country music and enjoy the concerts a lot! Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Brad Paisley, and Zac Brown Band are just a few of the country performers coming this year. This time of year, I look forward to a lot because tickets aren't crazy expensive and it's tons of fun!

5. The Fun

Overall, it's so fun and just so lively! It's a wonderful place to be and if you've never been, I highly recommend going this year! Even if you're not into that country/southern style stuff, it is more than just that, it's a chance to experience something so beautiful and an entirely different culture.
