Out of all the albums released in the recent years, I cannot help but to talk fully and wholesomely about this amazing piece of art. The 1975, an ever-growing popular band from the United Kingdom, is gaining stardom from all ends of the world. As they have released singles multiple times and their most popular (as of now) full album, "The 1975 (Deluxe Version)," the band has decided to release a new, pure gold album so that it can bless our ears.

Titled "I Like It When You Sleep for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It," this album has glassy pop vibes that inject right into the soul. The music takes you into moods of depression, love, happiness, bitterness and more.

Track 1: "The 1975"

This track brings you right into the album with a slow entrance and a sudden burst, heading into the first single off the album, "Love Me."

Track 2: "Love Me"

"Love Me" takes on a whole tone of its own, talking about a lack of self-awareness and how you are actually dealing with things in life. The song deals with the glaringly superficial world we live in, surrounded by being on the internet and not even knowing who we are anymore and telling people to just get over it, get back in the real world and love me.

As Matt Healy says in an interview with NME, "We wanted to write an album, that dealt with conviction... when we found something that made us uncomfortable, we had to pursue it."

Track 3: "UGH!"

As I tried to interpret this song, it took a while and I asked many people for their opinions as to what Matt and the band were trying to write about. Reading the lyrics over and over again, I keep getting the thought that as Matt sings, he talks about himself and looking in the mirror like he is trying to change himself. Making references to cocaine and weed, you can tell there is an addiction he attempts to get away from.

"Oh the kick won't last for long
But the song only lasts 3 minutes
I think I've lost my phone
So won't you call it up for me?
Oh the kick won't last for long
But the song only lasts 3 minutes
And I know it's wrong
But give me one."

The upbeat pop tune makes you want to groove but takes a calm turn into the next track.

Track 4: "A Change of Heart"

Rumors are that Matty wrote this song about Taylor Swift stating that "he smelled a bit and looked like shit," therefore putting that line right into the song.

This one always gets me because I never have quite understood the song. It goes back and forth and with the clowns in the music video above, it's almost as if both people have put on masks and danced around each other, suddenly changing their opinions and outlooks, only to not be into each other and then switch it up again and they are best friends. A little bipolar, I would say.

Track 5: "She's American"

One of my favorites, if not the best song off of the album in my opinion.

From their Beats 1 Live in LA, this is one that I couldn't resist posting so you could see it yourself.

"She's American" shows the cultural differences with living in a big city and how social groups are made and tend to portray a facade to each other. With this, it makes you feel alone in a big and beautiful place. The chorus goes on to bring back the cultural differences between Americans and Brits.

With a gorgeous synth pallet in the background of most of the song and a jamming, muted guitar melody, this song is set up to get you up and off your feet. The melody of the chorus can get stuck in your head for days due to the simpleness of it ascending and descending the scale. With this, I can never get over this pop synth jam.

Track 6: "If I Believe You"

Going in a direction similar to the lyrics in the track "UGH!," I find Matty speaking on wanting to be better internally. He seems to want to believe in a God who he believes made him an atheist, and that if he buys into it, maybe he won't go to hell. Hoping that this God can take away his issues and help him to find himself, maybe he can get out of this mess.

The songs ends with the outro of "if I'm lost, then how can I find myself" and kind of ends with no conclusion of his thoughts on God or if he is ever found.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
