Maybe I’m the most biased person to give you a review of Frank Ocean’s long awaited album, 'Blonde'. Is it because I’ve been a super fan since his Odd Future days? Is it because 'Channel Orange' is single handedly, to this day, one of my favorite albums? Well, whatever the reason may be, there’s a certain mystique to Frank and his music that I can’t seem to get enough of. He’s as artistic as an artist can get. Prior to the release of 'Blonde', Ocean released a visual album called 'Endless' on Apple Music. The video is him literally building a staircase or something, but the aesthetic and mood are textbook Frank Ocean. 'Blonde', much like 'Channel Orange', is soulful, poetic and most of all, smart. It’s a mellow and introspective album with futuristic sounds and audio effects--millennial R&B at its finest. And speaking of influences, this album has way too many to list. But all these influences could not have come together in a better way. Overall, if you love yourself and appreciate art, then give this album a listen immediately. God knows we’ve all waited long enough for it.

The way it is, we're on land / So I'm someone to hold true / Keep you cool in this good life / Won't let you down when it's all ruined.
Be Yourself (not exactly a song, but the dialogue from a phone call with Ocean’s mom)
Be yourself and know that that's good enough. Don't try to be someone else. Don't try to be like someone else, don't try to act like someone else, be yourself. Be secure with yourself.
Solo
It's hell on Earth and the city's on fire / Inhale, inhale, that's heaven / There's a bull and a matador dueling in the sky.
Skyline To
It begins to blur, we get older / Summer's not as long as it used to be.

Futura Free
Play these songs, it's therapy momma, they paying me momma / I should be paying them / I should be paying y'all honest to God.
