A Review of ALL the Foundations I have Tried

1. Kat Von D - Lock-it Foundation

This foundation retails for about $35 at Sephora. I have the shade Light 48 (it is the closest match I found but it is still a bit too warm toned for me). It is full coverage and you only need about one small pump of foundation in order to obtain full coverage. It lasts all day with or with out primer. A down side to this foundation is that it does feel cakey as soon as you apply it.


2. Maybelline- Fit Me Matte+Poreless

This foundation retails for $6 at most drugstores. It is very lightweight. I purchased the shade 235 Pure Beige (unfortunately its a bit too dark for me). It is not full coverage but it allows your skin to breathe. It is perfect for an everyday makeup look especially if set with translucent powder.


3. MAC- Studio Fix Fluid

This foundation retails for about $28 at MAC stores. In this foundation I am a shade NC 15. I have only used it for a few days and I have noticed that it is more lightweight than the Kat Von D foundation. It covers just as well as more expensive foundations and cost about $10 less and does not give a cakey feel.


4. Make Up Forever- Ultra HD Foundation (not pictured)

This foundation retails for about $43 at Sephora. I love that this foundation blends in with the skin perfectly. It is extremely lightweight but unfortunately it is not as full coverage as the Lock-It or Studio Fix foundation. It is also more expensive than both. I do not remember what shade I am in this foundation because I threw the bottle away recently.


5. L'Oreal- True Match Super-Blendable Foundation (not pictured)

This foundation retails for about $8 at most drugstores. Before I ever stepped a foot into Sephora or Ulta this was my go to the foundation. I have not purchased it again in years because I am always trying new foundations. Unfortunately, I do not remember what shade I was.This foundation is very easy to blend with your skin and a little goes a long way. I would recommend using primer and/or setting spray because it will not stay on all day like high-end brands. This is, in my opinion, one of the best foundations I have tried and I will definitely re-purchase in the future.
