The Top 5 Best Restaurants In Walt Disney World

In This Article:

Everybody knows Disney World: Disney's flagship resort complex in Orlando, Florida that contains four theme parks, two water parks, 25 resort hotels, and a plethora of other fun and exciting attractions and amenities. But, did you know that Disney World is a haven for foodies? It is! People often think of theme park food as being unimaginative or banal, but Disney sets itself apart from the crowd by going above and beyond with its dining choices.

Walt Disney World has about 200 restaurants, including 90 full-service restaurants, 30 of which are in the theme parks. They having everything from fine dining to small little refreshment kiosks located throughout the park, making sure that every taste (and wallet) is happily satisfied.

These five restaurants are my favorites and the ones that I often find myself revisiting during every visit.

1. Tokyo Dining; EPCOT, World Showcase

Located on the second floor of the Japan pavilion in EPCOT Center's World Showcase, Tokyo Dining combines the traditional flavors of Japan with sleek, modern surroundings. This is actually two restaurants in one: the other restaurant being Teppan Edo, a hibachi grill experience. The food at Tokyo Dining is outstanding, with a combination of fresh Sushi, traditional Japanese Tempura, and other Japanese classics that are sure to delight even the pickiest of eaters.

2. Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen; Magic Kingdom, Adventureland

Magic Kingdom's newest table-service restaurant is the Skipper Canteen, a restaurant themed to the classic "Jungle Cruise" attraction. At this restaurant, "Jungle Cruise" skippers serve you your meal while telling some of the most punny jokes there are. The restaurant is also extensively themed with it's own back story and plethora of sight gags in every inch of the room. The menu is a mix of Asian inspired dishes that are absolutely delicious and well worth the money. If you would prefer to dine without all the jokes, you can let your host or hostess know before hand.

3. Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café; Magic Kingdom, Tomorrowland

If you're not into table-service and you're looking to save some money, Cosmic Ray's is always a solid option. Located in the Tomorrowland area of Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Ray's offer a simple menu which would please everyone in your party. The best part of this dining location is the extensive toppings bar and the ample amount of seating for larger parties. There's also a really amazing alien animatronic named Sonny Eclipse who entertains guests with his punny space-themed jokes and futuristic music.

4. Sci-Fi Drive-In Theatre; Hollywood Studios

Always dreamed of going back to the 50's (minus the racism, sexism, and homophobia) to visit a real Drive-In theatre? Well, now you can! At the Sci-Fi Drive-In Theatre, guests can enjoy traditional American fare while sitting in car shaped booths and watching some classic Sci-Fi trailers and cartoons. There are also "picnic" tables in the backs reminiscent of the ones from the 1950's. If you would like to sit in a car booth, it is STRONGLY recommended that you make advanced dining reservations within 180 days of your trip.

5. Yak and Yeti; Animal Kingdom, Asia

Although it isn't a Disney-owned restaurant, Yak and Yeti still manage to delight guests who are visiting the Animal Kingdom park. Yak and Yeti offers a wide variety of Asian inspired dishes, even some American classics with an Asian twist. There is also a counter-service location restaurant for those who are in a rush to do everything they possibly can.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
