Oh Mean Girls, we have learned so much from you.
In honor of October 3rd, Norris will be hosting an event at 10 pm with food, tie-dye, trivia, and a screening of the movie in the McCormick Auditorium. To contribute to these festivities, we would like to salute all the Northwestern references made in the movie for you to watch out for!
1. Cady Heron, as we all know, moved from Africa to Evanston, IL. However, what most of you probably don’t know is that the entire reason Cady’s family moved is because her mom was offered tenure at the one and only, Northwestern University. So basically, we are the entire reason the movie even had a premise. You are welcome, Mean Girls, and you are welcome, World. Go ‘Cats!

3. Spring Fling time! One of the prizes for the Spring Fling Queen was a certificate to Walker Brother’s Original Pancake House. That is an actual place less than five minutes from campus. The food is so fetch.
This is how you will feel after eating their pancakes.
4. “Why should Caesar get to stomp around like a giant, while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet?…And when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody, huh?...We should totally just stab Caesar!” We feel you, Gretchen Wieners, we feel you. Northwestern students have been struggling with Caesar for a while now. Just kidding. We know we’re not talking about the same thing, but with all of these connections, the coincidence is just too weird.

Make sure to make it to Norris and have a happy October 3rd.
