Grand-daddy of Grilled Cheese
This grilled cheese sandwich is so easy to make yet so tasty too! All it requires are some basic ingredients every college kid is bound to have somewhere in the cupboard.
-Butter
-Bread
-American Cheese
-Turkey slices
Start by buttering your toast and placing a slice of cheese on both slices. I prefer American cheese, but any cheese slices of your choice will work. Turn your toaster on its side and place the bread and cheese slices in. When the toaster pops out, your slices of bread will have perfectly crusted and melty cheese on top! If you don’t have a toaster, the stovetop method works just fine! Place your turkey between the bread and let the cheese warm and melt onto the turkey before eating! Other lunchmeats work as substitutes also! Tomato and lettuce added to this sandwich make it even better!
Poppin Jalapeño Popper Dip
Satisfy your midnight munchies with this crazy easy dip or invite your friends over for a night in, and let this party pleaser delight your taste buds. This dish isn’t just a dip! Spread this on a sandwich to spice up your basic lunchmeats, or just on toast or a bagel for breakfast!
-1 package of cream cheese
-1/2 cup of mayonnaise
-1/2 (4 ounce) can of chopped green chilies
-1 ounce of canned chopped jalapeno peppers
-1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
This unbelievably easy recipe has three simple steps! Step one, in a large microwave safe bowl mix all ingredients. Step two, heat in the microwave for 2 minutes or until warm. Step three, sprinkle some extra Parmesan on top, and serve!
Not Your Regular Ramen
Not only will your mom approve of this recipe, your body will too! Every college student knows what its like to live off ramen. I’m sure every college student also knows what its like to be sluggish and tired from the lack of nutrients in those meals. Here’s a fast and easy way to boost your vegetable intake but still enjoy your meal.
-Favorite ramen flavor
-1/2 cup of packaged frozen vegetables
Frozen vegetables really make life so much easier, especially when you don’t have time to cook fresh ones before they go bad. Pick your favorite package of frozen vegetables, my preference for this recipe is the stir-fry mix, with broccoli, snow peas, and more! Follow the measurements on the ramen package, and add your flavoring package, vegetables, and measured water to a pot on medium heat. Cover your pot and allow your vegetables to soak up the flavor and soften for about 3 minutes. Once the vegetables are cooked, add your ramen noodles to the mix and allow everything to cook until the noodles are soft. Once your noodles are soft, all that’s left to do is ENJOY!
