I'll be the first to say I never thought I would enjoy watching a show like this, but after being persuaded by a close friend, I am hooked! Many people think I am crazy that I watch it, because it is not the newest show out. I have literally binge-watched four seasons in about three weeks. So here are some reasons I believe you should give this show a try. I could literally give you a million reasons, but I'll try to keep it short.
"Push one of epi."
1. Meredith Grey and Derek Shepard.
They have the craziest relationship, but you really cannot get enough of them. You will have a love/hate relationship with them. (Just look at the way he looks at her. *Swoon.*)
2. The drama of every episode.
There is not one scene where there isn't some type of drama. Sometimes it's drama from the patients of Seattle Grace Hospital or drama between the characters, like who is sleeping with who.
3. Christina Yang
Christina Yang is the main character's (Meredith Grey) best friend and "person." If you have ever had someone call you their person, good chances are that they have watched "Grey's." Yang is also known for some of the best one-liners on the show. I think we can all make a connection to her, because we all have a blunt friend like her.
4. You become emotionally attached to the characters (but don't because they either die or leave).
There are many nights after watching "Grey's" where I cry myself to sleep because of what has happened to a character. I get too involved with them and their relationships. This is one major example below:
5. The nicknames, like McDreamy and McSteamy.
The girls of the show decided to give Dr. Derek Shepard and Dr. Mark Sloan these names based on their looks. I mean, they do rightfully deserve them, though.
6. Meredith and Christina's relationship.
I think everyone looks for their "person" in life. Not meaning a significant other, but a friend who is always there. Someone you can rely on. Someone who you can tell every one of you dark secrets to. Someone who gives you the advice you need even if you don't want to hear it. Meredith and Christina's relationship will make you think about your "person" and how thankful you are to have them.
7. You're going to want to become a surgeon.
I have told my parents since the first episode that I was quitting college and going to start over, so I could go to medical school to become a surgeon. Obviously, all the surgeries on the show are fake, but hey, it still looks fun to me.
Hopefully, I gave you enough reasons to make you want to watch this amazing show. I could go on and on about how amazing it is, but I'll let you watch for yourself and discover just how great it is!
