4 Reasons To Work In The Summer

These are the reasons why working in the summers is always the move.

1. Experience

It doesn't really matter where you are working. Any experience in the work field is a good experience. Whether you are working in retail, an internship, or a frozen yogurt shop you will gain helpful skills that will be good for future careers. You don't have to have an internship at Google to succeed after college.

2. Money

You will get money to help get you through your second year of college, which is a major plus. The key is not to spend it all during the summer and put it right into your bank account. Even if you are spending your money on clothes and food, try to sell some of your clothing items online, to gain a little extra cash.

3. Boredom

If you are not going on an extravagant vacation to the Hamptons or Bali, chances are you are just at home. This way you can keep yourself busy with a job and not be hounded by your parents. You can keep yourself from becoming a couch potato and spend all your time at your new job.

4. New Friends

Chances are, at your job there are other college students who are just looking for a summer job to keep them occupied. You spend basically all day together, so you could become close pretty quick.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
