Why I Still Watch "Teen Wolf" Even Though I'm No Longer A Teen

Do you have those TV shows that you know you are probably a little too old to be watching? Do you ever feel guilty tuning in every week to catch the latest episode? Do your friends give you sideways looks when you go on and on about how much you adore all of the characters and how great the storyline is? Well, that is kind of how I feel about the amazing MTV series, "Teen Wolf."

I started watching "Teen Wolf" when I was a junior in high school, and my love for it has only grown stronger over time. However, as I was watching the premiere of its fifth season this past June, I realized something. I, Alex Agee, was no longer a teen. Here I was watching a show about these kids in high school, when I had been out of high school for over two years. I remember thinking, does this mean I need to stop following the series?

So, being the logical college student that I am, I formed a list of reasons that explain why it is perfectly acceptable for its 20-something fans to continue watching the show.

1. You became so invested in the series while you were a teenager that you cannot give up on it now just because of some arbitrary age limit.

2. You have to make sure your favorite characters make it out of Beacon Hills alive.

Seriously, if they all make it to graduation I will be pleasantly surprised.

3. Even though you are no longer in high school, the memories of the hardships you faced there will not soon be forgotten.

4. The nerd in you secretly enjoys all of the myths and legends you learn about from the show.

Can I write my college final on the history of the Banshee please?

5. What else are you planning on doing with your Monday nights during the summer?

Who needs "The Bachelorette"?

6. It showcases strong female leads that are a refreshing sight in today's television geared toward young adults.

7. It features some pretty cool, but off the radar, tunes that you will be dying to hear again.

8. Scott's relationship with his mom makes you want to be a better son/daughter.

9. Despite its dark tone, it is jam packed with great humor and wit.

10. You have to find out if Lydia and Stiles will ever get together.

Don't let me down, Jeff Davis.

11. The eye candy.

Like every single person on this show is swoon-worthy.

12. The Sciles bromance is too adorable for words.

And they're best friends in real life. BONUS!

13. Dylan O'Brien is one of the main characters.

14. Dylan O'Brien.

15. Oh, and did I mention it stars DYLAN O'BRIEN!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
