Reasons Not To Play Spicy Uno

Spicy Uno is a phrase that really sums up my freshmen year of college. It's just regular Uno, except there are a few more rules. Now, instead of taking the time to explain the rules so that you could play, too, I'm going to tell you why NOT to play.

1. Spicy Uno Ruins Friendships

I can't even explain to you how many times my friends would get mad at each other and go hours without talking.

2. You Won't Get ANY Work Done

Pretty much every single day of last school year was spent in the hallway playing for HOURS! We would start at noon and all of a sudden it would be 7 pm and the day was gone and nothing was accomplished. Whoops.

3. Your RA Will Hate You

My floor last year didn't really believe in "quiet hours" but apparently they're still a thing, news to me. We often would spend so much time playing that 10 pm would roll around and our RAs would get so mad at us until we finally caved in and would go to a room or a lounge at 11.

4. Feelings Get Hurt

More than just causing the demise of friendships, it also just really hurt people's feelings. Whenever someone played a card that hurt your game, it felt like a personal attack.


If you decide to ignore these warnings, beware and enjoy playing! For an added challenge we recommend adding Dare Cards and/ or add the SpongeBob deck.
