Dear women of the United States of America, PLEASE LISTEN! Why are you okay with voting for this man? You have mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and daughters. Do you really think it is okay for someone to talk to or about your family member like that? "Like what?" you may ask. Here are just a few examples of Donald Trump completely degrading women.
1.) Donald Trump Body Shames Women
Donald has, on many accounts, made cuts at women. As a self acceptance advocate, I see these remarks as beyond disgusting. He has commented on Rosie O'Donald in a television interview for The Insider in 2006 by saying “If I were running The View, I’d fire Rosie. I mean, I’d look right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say, ‘Rosie, you’re fired," Trump also made a pretty huge jab towards former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado when he made remarks about her weight gain after her crowning. He made fun of her in a gym while she was surrounded my cameramen saying “This is somebody who likes to eat.” and he also told FOX News, “She gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem." How is it a problem? Donald Trump sees women for what is on the outside, not the inside.
2.) Donald Trump is a PERVERT
On many occasions, Trump has referred to sexual things in interviews, tweets, recordings, and even presidential debates. For example, everyone by now had heard the recording of Trump referring to getting women by saying "grab them by the pussy" and then brushing it off, calling it "locker room talk." Pretty disgusting, huh? Some men aren't too worried. Well, they aren't the ones being targeted. Would you want some man to come up to your daughter, sister, mother, or niece and "grab her by the pussy" and nobody think it's wrong? This is why we have men like Brock Turner and his father out there. He has also referred to his penis size in a presidential debate on March 3, 2016, referencing his hand size to his penis size to try and "outdo" former opponent Maro Rubio. This man is someone who sexualizes way too many things and doesn't respect others.
3.) Donald Trump is Sexist
Donald Trump is so against women in so many ways. How can you support a man who degrades women? In 1991, Donald Trump told Esquire Magazine, "You know, it doesn't really matter what [they] write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass." In 2011, a lawyer named Elizabeth Beck told CNN that when she requested a break from a deposition to pump breast milk, “He got up, his face got red, he shook his finger at me, and he screamed, ‘You’re disgusting, you’re disgusting,’ and he ran out of there.” So feeding your child is disgusting or wrong? I don't believe so.
As a female, I find these remarks and many more gag-worthy. Why should any female support him? Would you really want your daughter, wife, niece, mother, grandmother, or any woman to have to live in a country where "pussy grabbing" and referring to a woman as "a piece of ass" is okay? Where breastfeeding a baby is gross and the president only cares about "beautiful women?" I sure don't and neither should you. Just because he is running for president, doesn't give him the right to be disrespectful and outright hurtful to anyone. I encourage all of you to do more research and rethink if you really want a disgusting man like this running your country.
