"The Sims 4" has been available to video game consumers for most of the year now, but due to several inhibitions from its original release statement, several players have yet to invest or truly enjoy the gem that is "The Sims 4." I've included here a small list of reasons why you should make the investment in "The Sims 4" if you haven't already.
Remember the forever-long saving screens from "The Sims 3" and prior? "The Sims 4" really steps it up by speeding up the process. And even though they took away the whole city map being available at once, the loading process to go to a different part of the city is so quick and seamless that you really don't miss it.
Creating a sim is better than ever -- you can make your sims look almost exactly like yourself -- a cartoon version, of course. Create-A-Sim got a major revamp, and you finally have the opportunity to create your real-life crush and yourself and force them to get married. (What? Don't tell me you never did that ...)
3. Better Interactions
For the first time ever, sims can carry on a conversation with not just one person, but a whole group of people. While dancing away with a friend at the lounge, your sim can be chatting with all the dancers around him or her as well. Sims also have a "romance" bar as well as the typical friendship bar so that a sim can increase friendship and romance with other sims, and sims can only propose certain actions when they have reached certain points on either bars. For example, sims can only propose marriage to other sims if they have a high friendship and a high romantic relationship.
"The Sims 4" added new emotions for your sims. Previous games used moodlets, but "The Sims 4" takes it to the next level and compiles the moodlets to create an overall mood for the sim. For example, after walking in on someone in the shower, a sim might gain a "privacy violation" moodlet, and then from the effects of that moodlet, they might also be more awkward in conversation, creating an overall mood of embarrassed. This is a significant improvement of the realistic simulation that is "The Sims 4."
And lastly, a popular concern among players was that the creators of "The Sims 4" unreasonably removed pools, but they came back with one of the first game patches. Your sims can go swimming again, or at least look mega rich with a pool in their backyards.
