The two leads in Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” are Jessica and her best friend, Trish. These two leading ladies enhance the caliber of the show with their wit, humor, strength, and love. One without the other would damage the show, as the relationship between the two shows the ups and downs of friendship and how they work together about it. Separately they give the audience someone to relate to, as each is very flawed in their own ways, but each tries to work towards betterment. Both characters are favorites of mine for multiple reasons, with the main ones listed below.

Jessica

1. She's funny

Although she's not a "ha ha out loud" kind of funny, you can really appreciate her humor if you are into sarcasm or dry humor.

2. She Kicks Ass

Jessica has powers that make her incredibly strong. She has taken on multiple men at once, as well as those trained more than she. But even if you ignore her physical strength, she has mental and emotional strength too.

3. She is Resourceful

Throughout the show, many of their plans become altered or ruined due to an unforeseeable factor. Jessica is able to keep going while changing her plan in ways to help her get to her overall goal.

4. Her Responses are Gold

This kind of falls in line with her humor, as her sarcasm comes out when responding to certain things and people.

5. Her Insults are Fantastic

Especially when she's mad, her insults to others are out of the ordinary, but make you laugh none the less.

Trish

1. Will Do Anything For Her Friends

Trish will do things that she hates, such as singing at a birthday party as a character she used to play, in order to help her friends. Even though she hated every second of the performance, she did it so she could get info that was important for Jessica.

2. She Stands Up For Herself

She may not have super strength like Jessica, but she's not going to sit around and let everyone else protect her. She practices ways to protect herself often so she won't be a liability with Jessica and can fight if she needs to.

3. She Speaks the Truth

Trish will say whatever is on her mind, even if others may not want to hear that thought. She's truthful in what she tells people and will tell Jessica when she should change something.

4. She Puts Them In Their Place

No matter who you are, if you talk in a way Trish does not like, she will let it be known. She will ask if she wants others opinions and tells them when she doesn't.

Together They are a Force to Be Reckoned With

They would do anything for each other, including going through their worst nightmare just to protect each other. They show how beautiful, yet hard friendship can be and how two very different people can become best friends.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
