Living with other people is a big challenge, some people can't stand to live with one other person, nevertheless three. For people like me, we prefer living with other people. Some people are excellent with one other person and can only do that, while others are okay living in a fraternity/sorority house with 12+ people. Although it is a little crazy, I live with 3 other girls who I consider to be my sisters. Here are 10 reasons why you should consider living with more people:

More Opinions

Many say that this is a bad thing but it really isn't as long as everyone comes to an agreement of some sort. I'm mostly saying this for when it comes to makeup and what lipstick to use.

More personalities to bring any boring dorm into a lovely home

If you have creative roommates like mine, anything is possible. Although it is impossible to decorate a small kitchen with everything we like, we do have a centerpiece hung up in the kitchen. Also, don't use duct tape, it will cause paint damage.

You have a mini-friend group that knows everything about you

T hat depends if everyone can get along. Remember that even if you didn't choose your roommates, that doesn't mean y'all can't get along because it is possible. Some unexpected roommates are blessings in disguise.

You can learn from them

The more people that live with you means that there are more people who been though life and you can learn from them. Not everyone grew up the same way, one of my roommates came from a different country, and two of of my roommates are the eldest sibling in their families. However, we all do have one thing in common, we all want to get a higher education to get our goals.

Going to events is way more fun!

Because you get ready together and arrive at the same time to surprise the party

 You learn patience

Living with multiple people can create situations were someone will do something annoying and it will be something simple. Having patience will eliminate big, unneeded fights.

You get a sense of community

From roommates you get food, a sense of feeling like you belong (because y'all are sharing the same facilities), and you get friends. In my suite we have community tv and printer. Plus it will save our some costs.

You get to try new things

Sometimes doing the same old, same old gets boring sometimes and one of the roommates invites you to something new. With people trying things is a lot easier than doing it by yourself.

You have a support group that is close

Sometimes we fall down and all of our hometown friends and family are too far away. Your roommates are sometimes the only support you have, and sometimes that is the only one you need.

They are the people that will change you

You will most likely look up to your roommates and over time they can help you change for the better. Honesty I've became a better person because of my roommates.

Roommates are fun, however, you treat each other with respect. Without respect the following things will not happen, any disputes should be settled by an RA or a consular.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
