7 Reasons Why English Bulldogs Are The Best Dogs Of Them All

I absolutely adore all dogs, but it's no doubt that English Bulldogs stand out like no other breed does.

As an English Bulldog owner, I can verify this statement. They are the sweetest, most loyal dogs (like, all of them!), but it's something about bullies that makes them shine through any other dog breed. These dogs have the power to captivate anyone in their sight, and they're not scared to show that!

1. They have large, eerie eyes.

Look at those eyes! What is your dog hiding? What does he know that we don't? There isn't exactly a way to find out, but I know those eyes will make you believe there is. It's almost hypnotizing; there's no way those eyes would go unnoticed because they're just too cute.

2. They make great family pets.

Bulldogs have every quality you would want in a household pet, they're loyal, protective, and lazy. Because of their gentle temperament, they work great with children. They're laid-back, dependable, and never fail to amaze you with their unique personalities. In addition to their favorable traits, they're also known to be quite strong-willed and stubborn.

3. They have wrinkles!

From their rolls to their wrinkles, they are the chubbiest fun-loving dogs on the planet. They're so soft and fun to cuddle with. It's impossible to meet a bulldog without getting down to pet them and rub their flappy ears. Especially as puppies, they seem to show the most rolls.

4. They always crave attention.

While this trait may be hated by some, it's definitely underrated for me. I want a dog who'll stay by my side regardless, and the english bulldog fits into this ratio flawlessly. They're not too needy, but they aren't independent enough to completely forget about you.

5. They're unknowingly funny.

If you haven't noticed already, these stocky dogs look extremely different than your average dog. Their jawlines, underbites, and stubby noses make them seem intimidating, but upon closer examination it's not difficult to tell they're "scary" features are actually hilarious. After a long day at work or school, an English Bulldog is exactly what you need to cheer you up.

6. They're absolute couch potatoes.

Want a dog to snuggle and watch TV all day with? Look no further, the English bulldog is the breed for you. Needing low levels of activity, they make the perfect companion dogs at home. They NEVER leave your side (even if you want them to!) and they won't ever get bored of doing the same thing every day as some dogs might. This isn't an excuse to never exercise them though, bulldogs are prone to gaining weight more than other breeds are.

7. They're not quiet dogs.

When I say bulldogs are loud, I DON'T mean they bark too much, which they don't! I mean they're unusually noisy but in a good way. They snore, pant, wheeze, grunt, and snort. While almost all find these traits annoying, I find bulldogs' little quirks adorable. It's what makes them distinctive to their other dog cousins.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
