The Reality Of Unpacking From College, As Told By Pop Music

Packing and unpacking is always a drag, but packing up your whole life and moving it to a new place calls for a lot of stuff and a lot of hard work. One of the most annoying things I have ever done was packing up my dorm and realizing I had nowhere to put everything once I got home. I'm sure every college student can find this relatable, so here is a list of the reality of unpacking from college as told by current music.

1. First you need to pack your whole car.

"I pray to make it back in one piece" — Drake, "One Dance"

2. Your parents ask you about your grades this semester.

"I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure." — Lukas Graham, "7 Years"

3. You walk in to your house, so excited to finally be home.

"Welcome to my house." — Flo Rida, "My House"

4. Then it hits you, you have multiple cars to unload.

"Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol' days, When our momma sang us to sleep but now were stressed out." — Twenty One Pilots, "Stressed Out"

5. All of your things are piled high in your room, and you're ready to dig in.

"Taking control of this kind of moment, I'm locked and loaded, completely focused, my mind is open." — Ariana Grande, "Dangerous Woman"

6. You get a text from your friend about going out to lunch.

"Know I'm great but I'm broke as hell." — G-Eazy, "Me Myself and I"

7. You focus again, back to the laundry pile you've been avoiding.

"I'ma give it everythin' I got." — Desiigner, "Panda"

8. Everything is still in a bag, so you begin to unload.

"But you're moving so carefully, let's start living dangerously." — DNCE, "Cake By The Ocean"

9. You feel like you've unpacked so much but you've barely made a dent.

"You gotta help me, I'm losing my mind." — One Direction, "History"

10. Your room is a mess, the struggle is getting bigger and bigger.

"I would rather be at home all by myself not in this room." — Alessia Cara, "Here"

11. There are too many things you don't have room for, so you get a trash bag and start throwing things out.

"I'm amazed by the things that you would sacrifice." — Ellie Goulding, "Army"

12. You finally accept that this is going to take you more than a day.

"Short days, long nights tangled up with you." — Jason Derulo, "If It Aint Love"

13. The unpacking has just begun, and you give up for the day.

"I'm never gonna look back, whoa, I'm never gonna give it up." — American Authors, "Best Day Of My Life"

So, good luck to all of the college students as you make your way home and start to unpack. All of us say we're going to get it done right away, but we know that we'll still have a couple things laying around when the end of the summer hits. Hey, at least it's summer!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
