There are many perks of being a homebody — the comfort of sweatpants, a mug of hot tea and your favorite Netflix series. But sometimes the constant questions like, “Where were you this weekend?” and “Why don’t I ever see you out?” can get a little old. Ultimately, you wouldn’t want to spend your weekends any other way.
1. You’re perpetually caught between wanting to have fun, but wanting to stay in the comfort of your own bed simultaneously.
2. When someone comes over, it actually scares you. What do you want from me?
You're not the pizza man. I don't owe you anything.
3. Ugh, they want you to go out. Don’t they understand that nothing is going to make you get out of bed? Or put pants on?
4. And as soon as they say, “Hey, wanna go to-“ you react like this before they can even get the words out.
5. Or in most cases, like this. The answer is written all over your face.
6. “FOMO” is a foreign concept to you. Missing out on what? You’re more than content with your current state.
7. You do, however, want someone to commiserate with and watch your favorite shows with you occasionally.
8. And that just gets you.
9. Because you both know the reality of a big social gathering.
10. And that you just can’t deal. Not today.
11. On the rare occasion that you go out on a Friday night, everyone reacts like this.
12. Then your friends ask, “Are you ready to leave?” And naturally you can’t stop thinking about getting into your pajamas and fuzzy socks. You can’t get out of there fast enough.
13. Although it’s not conventional, you like how you spend your weekends — cuddled up in bed for hours on end and going to bed at 9:30 p.m. simply because you can.
14. Cheers to the freakin' weekend.
Being a homebody is fun for many reasons, especially after a long week of classes. You're the first to watch everyone's drunk Snapchat stories before they delete them, you're more caught up on laundry than anyone you know and you've watched the latest "Bachelor" episode on demand, all in one night.
