Ravenclaw is a house that is filled with wisdom, knowledge, kindness, and awkwardness. Ravenclaws are known for spending hours in their room only to come out if their is food involved. If you do the following you might be considered a Ravenclaw.

1. You have more books than you know what to do with.

A Ravenclaw's bookshelf is filled with books of various genres. Usually the to-read list grows too fast for you to keep up with, and your books sit on the shelf waiting to be read.

2. You find yourself constantly researching.

If you hear about a fact or a word that you are unfamiliar with, you will subconsciously find yourself pulling out your phone to find out what it is. Ravenclaws are naturally curious and always willing to learn something new.

3. You do not like to be wrong.

Your stubbornness can get the best of you sometimes. Since you acquire a lot of knowledge, it is difficult for you to admit when you are wrong in an argument (even if you know you are wrong).

4. You can be emotional.

Since there are millions of thoughts filling your head at once, you are usually full of emotions. This is not always a bad thing; this just means that you care deeply.

5. Your brain moves wicked fast.

There are a hundred things going through your mind at once. If someone tells you to do something you will most likely have to make a list about it or it will be like Neville Longbottom with the remembrall, "the problem is, I can't remember what I've forgotten."

6. When you see Ravenclaw merchandise you freak out a little.

Wherever you go it seems like Gryffidor and Slytherin pretty much dominate the shelves. However, when you find that one Ravenclaw t-shirt that is perfect you better snag it off of the shelf and show pride for your house.

7. You can be slightly awkward.

Even though you are smart, social gatherings and parties are usually not your forte. When you do talk to large crowds your social inelegance can spill out. Just like Luna Lovegood, your quirkiness will make you stand out in a crowd. Embrace your awkwardness and enjoy being different where everyone else tends to be alike.

8. You inspire others.

Even though Ravenclaws are introverted and quiet, their creativity speaks loudly. Whether they are writing, learning an instrument, listening to music, studying, or painting, they like to show off their work to others. Your willingness to dedicate time to something you love will be contagious to others.

9. You are easily distracted.

Since your brain is focused on the millions of things that you have to do, your mind can easily wander. You will find yourself having to re-read a page of your book because your mind was thinking about an assignment or what to eat for dinner.

10. You are a perfectionist.

Your room is always clean and you are always organized. You take the time to put away all of your clothes and make your bed. You have to be on time to events and appointments because you cannot handle the guilt of being late.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
