Friday nights are the best nights of the week. Why? Because it is the night of letting loose.

The kind where your DONE with stress and you toss all your cares into the wind. Aka the nights where you just wanna party. Well listen here sista - sometimes we need a break. So how about this Friday night we stay IN. Trust me, you're not gonna miss out on anything, don't even look at your phone.

Chillax + find your chi - by scrolling down and discovering your next friday night plans.

1. Movie Night

Who doesn't love a good movie night??? Or maybe not even a movie night - a good netflix binge of your favorite show. ( 10/10 recommend New Girl for those inquiring )

2. Bonfire

Nobody said you couldn't "stay in" alone so why not roast marshmallows and hotdogs in an eno around a fire pit with your best friends. Bring some drinks and a speaker. Enjoy.

3. Date Night

Bring your lover home with you and have a cozy night in with someone special. Could also be a friend - friends are super great at tinder + will help you achieve #3.

4. eat, eat, EAT

Spend a little extra money on a family sized snack pack of EVERYTHING. Spoil yourself with snacks and worry about it on Monday.

5. Start / Finish a craft

Maybe a night in is a good time to finish that thing you've put aside for months. Finish painting that picture or make that DYI you've had on your camera roll.

6. Catch up on some Zzz's

One of the most rewarding things that has ever been given is the gift of going to bed at 7:00.

7. Browse for dope vines + cute doggos

Come on.. Haven't we all scrolled through twitter for way too long looking at the vines we wish still existed and doggos being better than people?

8. Be Productive

Pick up your pride and do that thing you really don't wanna do. Get ahead on homework or clean your room. Maybe you need to organize your closet, i don't know but you should do it.

9. Self Care

Bubble bath, get your nails done, brush your hair, wine a bit, put on some comfy Pj's and eat some chocolate late at night. Treat yourself queen.

10. Visit your family

Take this opportunity to go visit your parents! They miss you and its always a great surprise to see you. So if your local, go visit! If not, Skype dates are just as special.

11. Read a book

Need I say more?

12. Become an Odyssey Creator + share your thoughts

Joining The Odyssey has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever been part of. Not only are you given a voice but you are given a family too. My girl gang at Kennesaw are always there for me and I know i will always have my girls to lean on. AND you get immediate responses by page views. TRUST ME writing on a Friday is a good Friday.

- xoxo

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
