I am an unashamed One Direction super-fan.

I’ll admit, when "What Makes You Beautiful" came out as the boys' first single, I scoffed at its stereotypical pop rhythm and cheesy lyrics. The denial phase didn't last very long, and it's been a downward spiral since that moment. Or upward...depends on how you look at it. I now stand firmly in the realm of obsessed fan. Yes, I have been to a concert (regrettably, only one). Yes, I have seen the movie. Yes, I follow them all on social media. Yes, I remember what I was doing when news of Zayn’s departure broke. And most importantly, yes, Harry Styles is a god among men.

So, from someone with a lot of authority on the subject, I’m proud to debut the definitive ranking of One Direction albums.

4. Take Me Home: Yearbook Edition

Honestly, picking a “worst” album from One Direction is like picking the “worst” kind of ice cream. It’s all good, but some kinds are a little bit better than others. That’s how I feel about Take Me Home. It’s a good album, it’s got catchy songs, but it just didn’t wow me.

Best Songs: Little Things, Nobody Compares (there isn’t a better running-tempo song out there), Last First Kiss

Worst Songs: Summer Love, Still The One

3. Up All Night

Yes, Up All Night is the epitome of a boy band teeny bopper album….but it’s just so good. These songs are from 2011 and I can still jam to them. No shame. Timeless 1D.

Best Songs: One Thing, Up All Night, I Want

Worst Songs: Moments, Same Mistakes

2. Four

Okay, Four is by far the most emotionally mature album from One Direction and I could listen to each and every song for hours, but the number of “jam out in the car until I’m out of breath” songs is relatively low, which is why I demoted it to second place.

Best Songs: Where Do Broken Hearts Go?, No Control, 18

Worst Songs: Once in a Lifetime, Spaces

1. Midnight Memories

There aren’t enough words for how much I love this album. It's better than words (...get it?). This was the first time we saw the new, older One Direction, and it changed a lot of lives. #neverforget

Best Songs: Little White Lies, Little Black Dress, Story of My Life

Worst Songs: Half a Heart, Something Great
