Typically I don't like to use the phrase "goals" because I honestly believe that we shouldn't live that way. Striving for perfection and what you see on television for the lives of others could set you up for disappointment or failure.

However, Jack Pearson embodies the perfect qualities that I am sure any girl who has seen "This Is Us" would want their husband or future husband to have.

What is so incredible about this show is that it doesn't claim to have such a perfect family, but rather one who struggles just like any other typical family.

If you haven't seen it yet then I definitely encourage you to try it out, but maybe have a box of tissues set out beside you.

1. "You're adopted, and we don't talk about that enough. 'Cause to me, you are every part of my son." (to Randall)

2. "You're not just my great love story Rebecca. You were my big break. And our love story, I know it may not feel like it right now, but baby, I promise you, it's just getting started."

(cue tears)

3. "The moment I saw you, I knew you were my boy. You weren't a choice, Randall, you were a fact".

4. "You don't do that to your family. You find your soul mate, you get married, you stay together until you die, period."

5. "But I still don't want to escape her. Or my future vomiting, crap-riddled kids. I just, want more time with them. I want to freeze time with them, so that I can get a little bit more." (to Miguel)

6. "I love the mother that you are. I love that you are still the most beautiful woman in any room and that you laugh with your entire face."

7. "I am thankful for my family. I'm thankful that we're all safe and there's no one in the world that I'd rather be too hot or too cold with."

8. "I"m going to need everyone in this room to believe that only good things are going to happen today. Actually, I need you to know it."

9. "You know when I was a little boy I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Adults always ask little kids that. I never had a good answer. Not until I was 28. Until the day that I met you. That's when I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wanted to be the man that made you happy."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
