There are few things that excite me as much as the prospect of traveling anywhere. I love traveling more than basically anything on Earth. I love it all. I love the airport, the TSA agents, the overpriced coffee, and the bad food. I love red eye flights and I love people watching from my gate. Lately, traveling has been even more exciting for me though, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's that I'm older now, or that now when I travel I usually go alone. Whatever the reason, I have been stung by the traveling bug and I just can't get enough of it. For anyone else who is as excited about travel as I am, heres a few quotes that help me satisfy my wanderlust.

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."

-Saint Augustine

"A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it." - George A. Moore

"To travel is to take a journey into yourself."

- Danny Kaye

"All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware."

- Martin Buber

"Travel can be one of the most rewarding forms of introspection."

- Lawrence Durrell

"We travel, some of us forever, to suck other states, other lives, other souls."

- Anais Nin

"It is better to travel well than to arrive."

- Buddha

"The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see."

- Gilbert K. Chesterton

"The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who... looked enviously on the birds soaring freely through space... on the infinite highway of air."

- Wilbur Wright

"One travels more usefully when alone, because he reflects more."

- Thomas Jefferson

"If you have enthusiasm, you have a very dynamic, effective companion to travel with you on the road to Somewhere."

- Loretta Young

Travel is a beautiful thing. If you get to travel anywhere special this spring break remember to be safe, careful, and to slow down long enough to appreciate everything you see.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
