Pressed for time, but still want to host a fun Fourth of July event? Here are some quick and creative patriotic treats and activities!

1. American Flag Fruit Kabobs

Just cut up some strawberries and bananas and put them on some skewers with blueberries. The fresh fruit is refreshing and so cute!

2. Red Velvet Cupcakes topped with blueberries

You can make these red velvet cupcakes from scratch or use a box mix. Top the red velvet cupcakes with your favorite vanilla or cream cheese icing along with a few blueberries to represent the red, white, and blue.

3. BBQ Cookout

What’s a Fourth of July party without some burgers, hot dogs, and roasted corn?

4. Star Spangled Spritzers

Mash up some strawberries and blueberries and throw them into your favorite ginger ale or lemon-lime soda! These spritzers are delicious and patriotic.

5. Slip N’ Slide

Slip n’ Slides are an inexpensive way to cool off and embrace your inner child. Add a table near the end of the slip n' slide for a competitive game of lemonade flip cup.

6. DIY Photo Booth

Use a tassel garland or a flag as a backdrop and take photos with fun props like pinwheels, mini flags, and printable party props.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
