Probably, you are applying for college admission after graduating high school, or you want to pursue another degree, but you are not sure if the right school will land you in your dream job. You are not the only one in that dilemma for there are many prospective college students who are not certain of the impact that a more prominent or expensive school has on their dream job. Can the school you choose influence the chances of getting that dream job?

Career Planning Opportunities

Universities are nowadays offering career guidance, and every school has its way of doing it. For example, there some who have printed materials, others have a career center where you can get a chance of practicing your interviewing skills, prepare a resume and create a networking of human resource manager among many other skills. They also offer additional services to students and alumni, and career planning for current students, which can prepare them for an interview and career practices in the future.

A Hierarchy of Hiring

Many employers have admitted that their decision to hire some of their employees were based on the name of a top-ranking college on their resume. Sometimes, the name recognition accompanied by good grades may have a significant impact on the final decision of hiring. The strength of a major can make a school have a reputation for a particular field, making it famous. If for instance a school has a strong engineering program and a graduate apply for a job in the same area, chances of being hired are high.

Transferable Skills

Schools like Stevens-Henager College will teach specifics of your subject and variety of skills valuable in your careers such as organization, research, and communication. Many courses will help you in building these skills, but some university will go an extra mile to offer the opportunity to build your skills, for example through workshops, which will help you improve and at the same time you will have something to offer to your employers.

Alumni Connections

Some of the top-ranking schools offer excellent teaching programs among other benefits to students. In many cases, most of these schools have alumni who hold prominent positions in companies and government. Some alumni are willing to give their time to the student and give them mentorship and guidance, and in some cases, after graduation, the students can be helped by the alumni in landing at good jobs through useful jobs references.

Experts and Specialists Connections

Many top colleges organize seminars and conferences which provide opportunities to students to interact with experts, and this can lead to either internship, full-time employment or both. Some employers want students who have gone to the most competitive school, but one thing they should remember is that it is not all about the entry point. Internships, work experience and leadership in clubs or organization on college are some of the factors that some of the employers consider. Some field, such as finance or engineering, the ranking is based on national ranking and, therefore, completing for example engineering internship, can give you an advantage since you will have some experience.

It is, therefore, important to choose the right university since it can help you land your dream job. Look for a school that best in a particular field, for instance, if you want to pursue a career in medicine, research on the internet the university that is well known of producing the best doctors. There is a possibility that, being alumni from that school may make you graduate with the required skills along with creating good connections that may make job search easy.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
