Hey Coffee Lovers, These PSL Substitutes Are The Healthier And Cheaper Treats You Deserve This Fall Season

Why turn your bank account into a ghost town when you can have these delicious options?

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. As the weather gets cooler and everyone starts celebrating with harvest festivals, trips to haunted houses, and hosting their own Halloween parties, college students will be searching for a delicious cup of coffee. While the pumpkin spice latte is a popular choice every year, there are healthier selections that are available. Here are some cheaper alternatives to the beloved PSL that college students need to try instead.

1. Hot apple cider

This is a tasty drink that brings good memories of trips to harvest festivals. Apple cider is a classic beverage that college students need to try at least once. Nice blend of apples and spices, making it a great replacement for the pumpkin spice latte.

2. Regular coffee with pumpkin spice creamer

With this drink, you can still have the taste of a PSL but with fewer calories and sugar. Just order a cup of coffee (any type of roast) and ask for some pumpkin spice flavor. It's great for anyone that's on a diet or has a small budget. Give it a try.

3. Horchata almond milk frappuccino

Instead of the unholy creation that is the unicorn frappuccino, this is a drink that will give you a nice burst of energy. After all, students taking early classes need a boost in the morning. It is a combination of coffee with almonds and spices. If you can handle the heat and zest, you will enjoy this one.

4. Salted caramel mocha

Here is a nice substitute for PSL that is perfect for those that love a mix of salty and sweet foods. The saltiness of the caramel and the sweetness of the chocolate will keep you awake for a while, but you will love the flavor. It's a special way to begin your morning. Check it out and see for yourself.

5. Hot or iced chai tea latte

This is the coffee that is made to order however you like it. Definitely recommended for college students. If you want to replace the PSL with another drink that was made for fall, then here it is. Whenever you do not feel like having pumpkin again, try a hot (or iced) cup of Chai tea.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
