As a human being, there is nothing more amazing to watch than the sun set into the horizon. Or the greatness of the ocean’s waves crash along the shore. Or the incredible detail and beauty in the raw nature of this wonderful world we get to live in. As a believer in Jesus Christ, it makes seeing these creations ten times more amazing. Knowing our Creator perfected each detail of this incredible world just humbles and solidifies my faith in our Father. It's so hard for me to look at the wonders of this world and not give credit to God. Every time the sun sets and the moon rises, I am awestruck with wonder about our Creator and his existence. His existence is never more evident to me than in that moment.
You see, God’s creations on this earth is His way of revealing himself to us. After reading a couples Bible passages during a devotion (check out the devotion app First Five for great daily reads!), it became even more evident to me; God is proving his faithfulness and existence through his creations.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” -Proverbs 19:1
God gives us the wonders and creations in this world as physical proof of his creation and goodness, so that we could live with no excuse of His existence.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." -Romans 1:20
The grandeur of the canyons, the powdered white mountains, the lushness of the valleys—they all have the same Author. The Earth's intelligence, design, beauty and constant ability to thrive all give credit to a sole Designer. There is just no other explanation for all the wonders of this world.
"It is He who made the Earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom, And by His understanding He stretched out the heavens." -Jeremiah 51:15
So, let us give praise to God every time we look at His creations and admire His works and constant existence. Let us recognize his intricate details in the flowers, and remember how he so intricately created us—His most prized creation. Let us look at the beauty of the glistening stars and constellation and remember His promises of a bright and beautiful future we have in Heaven with Him.
