"My name is Jerica, I work everyday like you do, but my job has no brakes, no sick days, oh and most of all, no pay ... I do it because I choose to do it, I don't regret staying home because at the end of the day it's very rewarding seeing my children sleep peaceful knowing they have no worries..."
"My name is Ariel. My whole life I've been struggling with my weight by people telling me I'm fat and also by people saying I'm not pretty enough because of being a little overweight I lost my confidence my personality by people bringing me down by doing this photo shoot has showed me that it's okay to be different that it's okay to be a little bit chunky and still look beautiful and it's has made me gain some confidence back."
"My name is Jami. I am a mother of two amazing little ones who are my world and are the reason my heart beats. I've had a lot of dark things happen to me in the past but I have grown past them and because of them I am a better person today."
"My name is Mollie. I'm unique, I am human, I'm not perfect. I am a work of art created by God himself, I don't need makeup to cover his creation."
"My name is Sam. Photographer and Owner of Sam Cummings Photography. Often times I ask people to stand up and make a statement. I ask for models to help portray my voice. This time, I decided to participate and be more apart of what I ask my girls to do on a daily basis."
"My name is Samantha. I'm an outgoing, very positive girl who just so happened to be diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome at 21. But I'm not letting it change anything about my dreams. You will never see me not smiling!"
When you look at these girls as a whole.. What do you see? These girls have one thing in common. They're different. You want to know what else? They're all beautiful. When I started this project, my goal was to prove that beauty comes in all different forms. Now, I'm not the originator of this idea. One photographer by the name of Jess Fielder of Jess Fielder Photography started this movement & I was instantly inspired to continue it. In these girls you'll find someone with dark hair, light hair. Some with a thigh gap, some without. Different body types.. We all see this publicity that tells us what beauty is "supposed" to look like... I say screw that. We live in a society that tries to portray this certain look of "perfection". When in reality, there's no such thing. I challenge everyone to free yourself. Free yourself from the negativity, from the hate, from the people telling you what beauty is "supposed" to look like. Be yourself. Rock the clothes you want to. Wear baggy pants and a sweatshirt. Do what makes YOU feel beautiful. There are no rules. Love yourself to the absolute fullest, because at the end of the day you're the only one that takes care of you.
