Pretty Little Liars has been running for a long time now, and most of us have been loyal fans since the beginning. Although the mystery of A has always captured the attention of everyone and the show held intrigue and mystery for so many years, I cannot help but find myself, in the wake of the “Big A” reveal, being less then optimistic. Hear me out.
Mona was A. Then Toby was A, but he really wasn’t A he was just trying to protect Spencer who also became a part of the team in order to protect Toby. Ezra was A, but he was actually just writing a book which is still ultra-sketchy. Everyone on the show has had a finger pointed at them for being “A” by one of the liars at least one time or another, the only people on the show who haven’t been accused are the girls themselves it feels.
The girls have been arrested how many times at this point? Mona has been good than bad then good again how many times? Spencer was taking drugs how many times? Let’s not forget about Hanna shoplifting more than once. The girls don’t really even get a new love interest anymore because the writers are afraid of how fans will react. Also, no one ever looks that fabulous going to high school every day. Seriously, do these girls even go to class?
At this point the writers have exhausted every possibility that exists on this show and nothing that they throw on screen will leave me in the edge of my seat. I just want to know what is going on after scratching my head after every episode. It is also hard to follow a show ran by a woman who constantly lies to her fans because she would rather keep everything hush hush then have a fan base who can trust anything she says. Mona was dead? Okay. How am I ever supposed to believe that Charles is really A? Also, there better be some serious explaining about all the Aria clues because if not then the show is a joke.
Do not get me wrong. I love this show and everything that is has to offer, but since I have been watching it since I was in high school and am now in college a few answers wouldn’t have killed the writers along the way. Just some characters who died and then came back again. The #summerofanswers has been a complete exaggeration because all the answers will come in one episode. One episode that better be so explosive that even the CIA didn’t see it coming. If not, I will retire Pretty Little Liars and move on after these long years of no answers.
