The cost of cross, freedom wasn't free.

Praise On Purpose

I'm caught up

Stuck gazing upon skies and admiring the one who created them

I'm still

Frozen in his presence, unfamiliar yet recognizing this is peace

I'm here

Just laying at feet of Jesus

An on purpose praise for all intentional God

I can't raise my hands without seeing yours

Pierced stained flesh torn

Giving you my tears because you gave me your blood

The sacrifice of your life causes my eyes to flood

My praise isn't based on my season or circumstance

My worship isn't always singing loudly or in dance

Sometimes it's a quiet and broken hallelujah

Sometimes it's a shout

Sometimes it's a cry

But it is always on purpose

I seek his face because he sought mine

I'm giving him back something that I should've given a while ago, my time

This gift, this art, this creativity was always for you

So my praise is on purpose because there is purpose in everything you say and do

I'm sorry when church became social to me, I'm sorry when I cared more about my gift than the one who gave it to me

I'm sorry when I've just gone through the motions I'm sorry when I've held back on my emotions

I'm sorry when I cared more about the list of songs than who I was singing them for

And I'm sorry about the times I cared about serving my ego instead of serving you more

You are intentional therefore so is my praise

He sent who he loved for whom he loves

He was so detailed what he did and what he does

The cost of cross, freedom wasn't free

Now I live for him because he died for me

I crave nothing else

Nothing else will do

How would you repay someone who willingly paid the price for you?

I'm sorry won't satisfy but he accepts it

Thank you doesn't suffice but he never rejects it

Your heart is the measure of how he connects it

Your praise is the level of which you reflect it

I'm not here for blessings because Jesus you don't owe me anything

You don't have to persuade me to press in because of this one thing

One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple

In his presence

Praising him on purpose

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
