Here's the thing, I LOVE POP MUSIC. If you grew up in the late 90's, or early 2000's you probably love it too. I unashamedly blast Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, and P!ink any day of the week. So if you are anything like me and enjoy occasional blasts from the past, but also new pop hits here's a playlist that never gets old.
20. Gwen Stefani- Rich Girl ft. Eve
Let's be honest you probably had this as one of your ringtones on your pink razr.
19. Shakira- Hips Don't Lie
We all wanted to be able to dance like Shakira and if we didn't our boyfriends wished we did. (I have no idea what the Spanish parts say)
18. Lady Gaga- Poker Face
I will be completely honest by saying she gives me the heebie-jeebies when she showed up on the red carpet wearing a frozen cow, but the girl has vocals.
17. Taylor Swift- You Belong With Me
Okay, yes despite the new Kanye, and Taylor drama I still love her middle school hits. I'm pretty sure we've dated the same douche bags.
16. Britney Spears- Lucky
I have no idea why the seven year old me thought I related to this song but I really liked that house coat she wore.
15. Natasha Bedingfield- Unwritten
Whether you were singing this at the top of your lungs during your middle school dance, or jamming to it for the 30 second intro to The Hills, this song was our guilty pleasure.
14. Christina Aguilera- Beautiful
Sorry Christina, the gay guy from Mean Girls did it best.
13. The Pussycat Dolls- Don't Cha
What even happened to The Pussycat Dolls?
12. Fergie- Fergalicious
"I ain't easy, I ain't sleezy." Thanks for the life advice Fergie.
11. Mariah Carey- We Belong Together
This song was clearly not about Nick Cannon.
10. Rihanna- Pon de Replay
She was so cute and innocent then, what happened? Oh, yeah Chris Brown happened.
9. Alicia Keys- If I Ain't Got You
The older I get the more I relate to this song. We all have that one person who we want to share our entire life with and without them, what's the point?
8. Destiny's Child- Say My Name
Destiny's Child taught us how to call f-boy's out on their bs and stick up for ourselves.
7 Ashanti- Rock Wit U
Can I have her abs?
6. JoJo- Leave
Because we have all been that girl crying in the bathroom over a boy. Hopefully he wasn't dumb enough to leave her number on his phone...
5. Christina Aguilera- Genie In A Bottle
OK so I didn't realize what this song was talking about until just now. Wow.
4. Aqua- Barbie Girl
This song inspired me to try and convince my grandpa into buying me a convertible with a pool in the back seat.
3. TLC- No Scrubs
This song still applies to the guys living with their mom, and cat calling me from their best friends car. GET A LIFE.
2. Spice Girls- Wannabe
The ultimate best friend song. You can't love me if you don't love my friends,
1. Vanessa Carlton- A Thousand Miles
If the movie White Chicks didn't make your love for this song grow even more we probably wouldn't be friends.
