Poetry On Odyssey: Miracles

A receiving mind does not have to decide or plan.

From time to time I try my best to get into podcasts. They're a great way to learn and understand different concepts from another person's perspective. Going back, one of my friends randomly sent me this podcast episode called, Opening Your Life to Miracles in 365 Days by Mind Love.

If you are someone who bases their spiritual life off the universe rather than a specific god or religion, you might really enjoy this one. Besides being eye-opening, it was inspiring and actually, comforting. Here is a poem I wrote that essentially sums up what I have learned from Opening Your Life to Miracles in 365 Days.

A mind at peace

is in communication with energy.

it's all just a dream anyway.

What we have created ourselves to be

is not really who we are.

We are moving when we're conscious

and waking up.

We move from a HUMAN to BEING.

We have dreams within dreams within dreams.

We could call this reincarnation.

It's just a concept to help us find our way.

Mythologies to help us awaken to the truth inside.

I am not just a busy person checking things off my to-do list,

I am the energy that is alive,

not just in my body,

but all around.

I am powered by the source.

Replacing God with the source.

The spiritual law that giving is receiving.

The other half of giving

is the vulnerability

and the ability to receive.

Being a receiver of spirit

allows us to not really make decisions,

but be guided such as a flowing river.

A receiving mind does not have to decide or plan.

Where to begin

Acknowledge everything,

acknowledge everything you feel.

The body becomes your spiritual guider.

Admit every feeling even the negative ones.

Then, they clear.

Embodied spirituality.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
