As I dig into the basket of candy,
I tear open of piece of wrapper to reveal,
a small bumpy square covered in milky chocolate.
I take my first bite,
the caramel dripped past my chin,
and the peanuts crunch in my mouth falling between my teeth.
A Snickers Bar
I grab the candy that is as long as my pinky finger,
and I bite it with my front teeth
the texture is smoother than the candy bar,
but the first bite doesn't cut through,
I looked like I was playing tug-of-war with my hands and teeth to bite through the candy,
Until finally, I ripped of a small piece,
and this small piece was covered in sugar crystals,
that melted on my tongue,
but the sour bitter taste tickled my throat as I swallowed the piece.
A Gummy Worm
I pick up a chocolate cup,
with edges that are pointy,
My teeth sink into the chocolate layer
to taste the sweet with saltiness layer of peanut butter.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
My last piece is my favorite.
It's covered in chocolate like the first candy bar,
but the taste is completely different,
It's crunchiness rattles my teeth,
while the buttery flakes fall below me
the inside of the chocolate bar is intertwined butter flakes.
