A bitter affront poem

A smell
like a door
Abrupt, pungent,
a dark rebuff

as a welcome
Cups readied
for the bitter brew

Pressed, brewed,
sweetened, lightened
carmeled into taste

Solicitors of swill
constructing cabins
on every corner

Can't get enough,
drinkable mud in
a state full of rain

Assaulting unsuspecting
respectable senses
with caustic liquid.

Burning innocent
curious children,
