Unpaid Rent
No- you cannot fit inside
Of my body
When I am already bursting
At the seams.
No, I cannot make room
For another one of you
When there’s hardly
Enough room for me.
Too many boys already,
Claiming to be men,
Have decided to stake claim to
My body, sans rent.
It is exhausting
Working all those too-long hours,
To afford to keep the lights on
And the food stocked
For dozens of boys.
Their mouths so wide,
Open to engulf the world
Destined to choke
And it will always be a woman’s fault
When they die in the end.
