An Odyssey Poem: Live Yo' Best Life
Ethan Titus

This past year has been such a dream
Traveling to Anaheim, LA, Oceanside
Everywhere in between
It was all such a fun and amazing time
I'm so lucky to be here living my best life

I write for Odyssey, I'm a server and have great friends
The smile I share online and in person
Is more than genuine

I'm so happy, so much happier than before
I have my family, friends and dogs
What more could I ask for?

I used to think life was all about love
Money, popularity, being Regina George
Duh?

Well news flash honey, ain't shit about that

If you don't love yourself, don't expect anyone to back

I have Sam, Dani, Yolanda and Tay
I have April, Brandon, Q, Moe and the J's
I have Cyrus, Jake, Fox, all my furry friends
I have Grandma and Grandpa who I love always, to no end
We can't forget about Matt, Christina and Wes
Dad, Kayc, and both of their furry friends

My life is so awesome, I am so lucky
This poem might seem like I have it easy
I assure you I don't, and I'm not trying to be cheesy

Some days are absolutely harder than others
But at the end of it all, I don't need my mother

She ruined my life, and everyone around hers
Mostly mine, but hey, she doesn't care

When she pretended to have cancer
Some of us were smart enough to know better
I don't care about her, her feelings or her life
What can I say? She wasn't a mother

To my sisters I love so deeply forever
My brother I don't remember
Or whatever other kids she might have had

Being a big brother is such a blessing
I'm sorry I'm not there for school dances, but hopefully your wedding

I'm writing this poem for everyone out there
It gets better I promise, just believe in yourself
Get help, talk to friends, your family and counselors

You aren't alone, no matter what you think
High school sucks and hey, boys stink

You were the baddest bish in the sandbox
You still the baddest bish in all the land
It's about to be summer, live your best life
Hell, get a spray tan

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

The people that spend their summers at the lake are a unique group of people.

Whether you grew up going to the lake, have only recently started going, or have only been once or twice, you know it takes a certain kind of person to be a lake person. To the long-time lake people, the lake holds a special place in your heart, no matter how dirty the water may look.
