We met in The Jungle

conversing about our goals and dreams

Wondering what life will give us.

Stuck in the dust from people in our lives that have mistreated us

trying to find that motivation to erase them from our lives

they've turned into people that we began to despise.

We connected

we were on this vibe,

both on this ride to happiness --

not for them but for ourselves.

We live the life of hopeless romantics and literary geniuses.

The passion, the affection, the dream.

The dream to be bigger than we ever dreamed,

the dream we're going to make bigger than it ever seemed.

We met in The Jungle.

Two individuals with the same fade and the same shade,

shade of chocolate that lightens in the dark.

Lifted by our creative minds and extensive drives,

we will make it, out The Jungle, together.

At least that's what it seems.

When we're together it just flows,

especially when we recite those intensive Drake flows.

He's our idol.

We get excited by his lyrics, his name, and how he is definitely running the game.

It's like damn...are we one in the same?

We homies right now and that's cool with me.

We can help each other become the people we want to be.

I'll be there for you and you be there for me,

as we watch each other grow and go off happily.

We met in The Jungle.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

The people that spend their summers at the lake are a unique group of people.

Whether you grew up going to the lake, have only recently started going, or have only been once or twice, you know it takes a certain kind of person to be a lake person. To the long-time lake people, the lake holds a special place in your heart, no matter how dirty the water may look.
