10 Reasons Why P!nk Is A True Inspiration

She's honestly a queen in her own right.

We all love Alecia Moore. Her zero-cares attitude, her presence when it comes to important issues, and her love for her art are just a few reasons. Since she began her professional solo career, she has put out more than 6 studio albums, most of which contained #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Most recently, she was awarded the coveted MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Okay, so by now, you should know that the incomparable Alecia Moore is the equally incredible singer/songwriter P!nk. Many know her from the music industry, but beyond that, she is an incredible wife, mother, and inspiration. Don't believe me? Maybe the following examples will change your mind.

1. She's a loving mother.

Other than her daughter Willow Sage, she recently had another child, her son Jameson Moon, both with husband Casey Hart, a professional motocross racer.

2. She's never in the news for a derogatory reason.

Go ahead, I dare you to find one article or news story about P!nk that puts her in a bad light. The only thing you could find that's even remotely controversial is her posting a picture of herself breastfeeding her son on Instagram.

3. She's a true artist.

Few people may know this, but she is a very talented dancer and trapeze artist. For many of her concerts and award show performances, she will be seen in a full-blown dance routine or floating above the crowd on a silk. If she can hang upside down and still belt every note, you can do anything.

4. She's a respectable woman in pop culture.

5. She's a respectable woman, in general.

Outside of her music career, P!nk is an animal rights activist, most prominently campaigning for PETA and protesting KFC. Her campaign led to a headlining concert called PAW (Party for Animals Worldwide) in Cardiff, Wales on August 21, 2007. For years, she has been outspoken about LGBTQ rights and is a huge supporter of same-sex marriage. P!nk is also involved with several charities, including Human Rights Campaign, ONE Campaign, Prince's Trust, New York Restoration Project, Run for the Cure Foundation, Save the Children, Take Back the Night, UNICEF and World Animal Protection. So yeah, she's pretty respectable.

6. She's honest 24/7.

See #6 and #10.

7. She doesn't give a f***, and doesn't care who knows.

And her style shows it, as well. She's been known to wear whatever she wants, even if it breaks the gender norms. At the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, her and her daughter walked the "blue carpet" in perfectly tailored suits. In the early 2000's, she wore grungy, loose-fitting clothes, and didn't care who said anything. Her hairstyles have shown it two. Whether it be her jet black pixie cut or her pink spikes, she expresses herself, and always goes out with confidence.

8. She's a proud feminist.

9. She's hysterical.

This needs no explanation.

10. She sings from the heart.

Just listen to any of her albums. She released her hit, "So What" after her separation with her husband, and perfectly showcased how she felt at the time. Same with her earlier work, such as "Family Portrait", "Don't Let Me Get Me", and "Stupid Girls".

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
