In the past year, I have collected well over 5 thousand photos, many that I probably took myself. I guess you could say that I have an obsession with photos. But if you look at it, it is a good thing. Each photo has a story, it captures a moment in time that we want to remember forever. An instant that we thought this is a perfect time to take a picture, a perfect time to capture the moment.
For me each picture I take has a story and I could spend hours tell you about each picture I have, but sometimes I let the picture tell the story itself. When you look at the pictures people have either posted, printed out, or just show you for fun, you can start to create a story and see the memories embedded in the photo.
I honestly believe that each picture is worth a thousands words. Each photo captures a single moment in time into one frame that holds an entire story.
Take this photo, for instance. It was the first time I ever left the country; I went to Panama. I spent a week worshiping God and falling in love with the culture. Seeing God's calling to work with people and spend time immersed in their lives.
Or the time I traveled all the way to colorado with my best friend and we went to the top of Pikes Peak. It was so beautiful and I was so thankful I got to spend it with my best friend. She helped me conquer my fears that day.
Or even this photo, when I met some amazing people in college that I call my floor! These girls mean so much to me and seeing them every day or hearing them laugh down the hall makes me smile so much.
All these photos travel back in time and become a starter for stories that could go on forever. I honestly don’t know what I would do without all my photos. They are my way of expressing love and feelings towards everyone around me. By simply tagging a person or even giving them an album of photos shows that I care about all the adventures we have been on.
I consider my life to be a series of adventures and all these photos I have captured those adventures. From the mission trips to vacations to working with kids to spending hours on end with friends just taking photos, all these photos I take are my way of capturing that moment in life that I want to remember forever.
