7 Gift Ideas For The Picky Person In Your Life

Every gift shopper has that one person on their list that they groan at and hold off shopping for because they're just so hard to find a gift for. Gift buying for people like this can be difficult and may be frustrating, but finding that perfect gift feels like winning a million bucks.

I've been told I'm that person for my family (sorry guys), and so I made the decision to maybe help out the distraught gift buyers. Keep in mind that these gifts won't fit everyone's tastes, but hopefully, they can all get the wheels turning for ideas. Before admitting defeat, take a look at this list. Who knows? The perfect gift may be waiting

Skin care products

As skincare has become even more of a staple in people's lives everywhere, it's a hard place to mess up with. As a picky person myself, I love getting cleansing products, especially for my face.

Essential oil diffuser

I can promise you, getting an essential oil diffuser changed my sleep game. The scents can be so relaxing and a lot of the time, the ones you can buy are so aesthetically pleasing.

Candles

I've heard people say before that giving a candle as a gift is giving up, but I definitely do not see it that way. I personally get really excited when I get a new candle to burn and smell for a few weeks.

Weighted blanket

Weighted blankets have become all the rage lately, and it's easy to see why. The weight of the blankets are known to be calming and relaxing and can help with anxiety. It should be on the top of everyone's wishlist.

Mini movie projector

These are so cool and are not that expensive. A friend of mine had one of these at her house, and it was so easy to use and made our movie night a little extra cozy!

Snack subscription box

Any type of subscription box would do, even if only one time, but snack ones, such as Snack Crate, have so much variety and give you a chance to try new things.

Phone cases

There are a lot of small ways to express your interests, aesthetic, and style, but phone cases are one of the most fun ways. There are so many kinds, meaning there's a perfect one for everybody.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
