Going out to eat can be a fun experience, but it can also be stressful at times, especially if you're a picky eater. Even worse than that is when you're a picky eater and have to go out to a new restaurant because well, menus are rather terrifying at times.

Here are the 11 scariest menus to read if you're a picky eater.

1. The Menu In A Foreign Language

The pictures really aren't helpful if I don't know what that item consists of. Is it meat? Is it cheese? Who really knows?

2. The Small Menu

So, you're telling me I have to get a burger if we go here? But what if I don't eat meat?

3. The New, Long Menu

Not only is this menu super long, I've also never seen it before, which means I may need 30 minutes just to read the menu and settle on pizza anyway because everything else is foreign, I don't know what it is or can't pronounce it

4. ANY New Menu... At All

This could be a great thing or a really bad thing, but, nonetheless, a new menu is scary because you could either love everything or start counting the hours until you get to eat again.

5. The 'Not A Menu' Menu

OK, I get it, it's not a real menu, but it's equally as terrifying. What if the signs are wrong and I put something on my plate that I don't like, and it touches all of the stuff I do like and poisons it permanently? Or what if it takes me 30 minutes just to find the two things I actually want: macaroni and cheese and pizza.

6. The Wedding Menu

There aren't any choices on wedding menus. Maybe, they'll have a vegetarian option, but that may be just as unappetizing as the non-vegetarian option. Guess who is going through the McDonald's drive-thru after this?

7. The Dessert Menu

Desserts have such fancy names, most of the time I don't actually know if I like it. The pictures, admittedly, do look good — even to picky eaters — but all we really want is a nice, traditional scoop of ice cream.

8. The Menu With Only One Thing You Like

In theory, this sounds great because you have a go-to. You don't have to read the menu or go through the struggle of deciding what to eat. But, it's also the worst menu ever because what if you go, and they're out of what you want? Time to fill up on water, I guess...

9. The Menu With No Descriptions

OK, yes, I know what a grilled cheese is, but how am I supposed to know what type of cheese they are using? What are my bread options? I need answers here, people! You could potentially wreck my go-to dish!

10. Pizza Menus

At first glance, this may seem off because pizza is one of the go-to foods for most picky eaters in the world. But, they always hide our normal pizzas with simple toppings like cheese and pepperoni with these so-called "gourmet" pizzas. It gives us a brief second of panic thinking that even our staple dish is no longer edible — until we find the normal pizza section, that is.

11. The Healthy Menu

I like eating healthy — I really do. What I don't like, though, is not knowing what the healthy or organic version of my favorite food is going to taste like. What if that healthy substitute completely wrecks the taste, and I end up feeling like I'm eating cardboard?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
