Port Hope / Port Austin, Michigan

I am from the Detroit area, so it was about a three-hour drive if you go the speed limit, unlike Matthew (see last picture).

The road trip there

Trees and trees and trees. Also, two lane roads. ❤️

The tent

Matthew's prized possession, unless he's talking about his truck.

*See truck*
To be so close to nature was so worth the cold we endured.

The food and fire

Aluminum foil.
Rice-Cheese-Broccoli ❤️
Michelle is the fire master. 🔥

The beach and water

Despite it being bitterly cold, it was worth the views and the adventure.
Right?

The kayaking

Here lies the worshiped and b*tch to kayak to, Turnip Rock.
Side Note:
Matthew didn't believe me that this was it when I spotted it from far away.

The hiking (kind of)

A cute arboretum.
One rugged trail.
Quite a few regular trails.
Nevertheless, TREES. 🌳

The city

Smol shops.
Farmers market.
$7
Greasy pizza (worth it)

The guy

Worth everything.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
