During some of my endless watching of SNL skits on Youtube, I came across a video underneath a Pete Davidson skit that seemed intriguing. The video is titled 'Pete Davidson & Colson Baker (Machine Gun Kelly) Take a Lie Detector Test" and it was posted by Vanity Fair. I have watched some Lie Detector videos posted by them before, so I decided to give it a shot.

At first glance when you open the video, you see these two guys who look totally different, with totally different backgrounds and careers, and who are known for getting in trouble. Davidson, who's wearing a tie-dye shirt and a black jacket, is a comedian on SNL who lives in his mom's basement in Staten Island. Baker, who has bleach blonde hair and is wearing a fancy grey suit, is a a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor from Cleveland who has a eleven year old daughter, Casie. Baker has more of an intimidating vibe at first, but throughout the interview he is actually the total opposite.

One question Davidson asks is "Do you think I'm a better comedian than actor?" to which Baker says "Not to be lame, but I think you're great at both". That moment is one of the sweetest in the video, the way he doesn't hesitate to answer is how you know that he truly meant it. Another question Davidson asks is "Do you watch SNL every week?" and Baker says "I watch Pete's parts every week" is another awesome moment in this interview. Baker is so supportive of Davidson and his career, and its really a sweet moment to witness.

Another question is "You're a dad right?" to which Davidson immediately interjects with "He is a GREAT FATHER, he's, he's a GREAT dad" and then Colson goes "me, my daughter and Pete, we actually took a road trip together" to which Davidson replies "and we spent Christmas together and it was BEAUTIFUL". Watching this video, I didn't expect to see Baker be so kind, warm and supportive of Davidson himself and his career. I also would have never expected them to spend Christmas together and them go on a road trip with Baker's eleven year old daughter.

During the next part, Baker is interviewing Davidson. One question is if Davidson thinks that they'll be friends forever to which Davidson immediately replies "Absolutely, 100%". This is true friendship, there was no hesitation of Davidson to even answer the question. He knew from the second it was asked that they were always going to be friends. Another question is "Have you ever pretended to like one of my songs when I first played it for you?" to which Davidson replies "No, but there are songs that have grown on me, and that's 100". Davidson is so supportive of Baker's career as well, and its so nice to see this friendship where both of these "tough" guys constantly support each other.

One question Baker asked is if Pete was good at acting and he said yes and no. Then Davidson said he was only good if he was playing himself, while Baker could play characters; to which Baker said "hmm, false". Baker doesn't let Pete drag himself down because he just wants to uplift Davidson and help him be confident. Then Baker asks if Davidson thinks he's a better flirt to which he responded yes to, but then he drags himself saying he's not as good looking as Baker, to which Baker immediately goes "no no no no no no no no no no" and again doesn't let Davidson be down on himself.

Pete Davidson and Colson Baker are a great example of a truly supportive friendship. Both of these guys constantly are there for each other and it's very sweet to see their friendship portrayed.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
